Class Anxieties I'm a tad bit nervous because tomorrow morning I'm doing a trio of classes at the gym. As I've mentioned, I go to the gym and do cardio (elliptical and now running) regularly, 5-6 days per week. I joined in May of 2008 and now I want to take classes, since they're all included in my membership fee - why not? But I get really nervous about group classes. I still have a lot of weight to lose and I feel so cumbersome and fat in classes, because most classes are full of thin girls. But sometimes I like to think that maybe some of those girls were fat at one time. And doing these classes is how they got that way...hee hee wishful thinking huh? The gym that I go to uses the Les Mills classes. Tomorrow's lineup is Bodypump (weights), Abs (a short class with all ab work, and then Body Attack - heavy duty cardio. I've never done Body Attack but it's one of those classes that I peek into and wish that I could do. So why not try it huh? I've challenged myself quite a bit on the elliptical and I thought it would be a long time before I could run a mile again without stopping, let alone 2.5 miles which I'm about up to now. But anyway, I'm so nervous about that class. I have that "I'm gonna fail" feeling. But that's the same feeling I've had before regarding doing elliptical, and running, Body Pump, etc...so this will be another rung under my belt. I can do this. I'll update tomorrow. In 12 hours from now, I'll be on the floor of the gym, pumping iron. Girle |
